The red gum lerp psyllid, Glycaspis brimblecombei Moore (Hemiptera, Aphalaridae), is an Australian native sap-sucking insect pest of eucalypts that has been first reported for the West Palaearctic Region in 2008 and, in 2010, it has been found also in Italy. Epoch versus impulse models in the analysis of parametric fMRI studies

Abstract Objective In parametric fMRI studies the relationship between the amplitude of the hemodynamic response and electrophysiological or behavioral parameters is commonly analyzed using the general linear model (GLM). We examined ways of using single-trial response time (RT) in the analysis of a decision-making task to better isolate task-specific activation. A Functional Near-Infrared Spectroscopy Examination of the Neural Correlates of Cognitive Shifting in Dimensional Change Card Sort Task

This study aims to examine the neural correlates of cognitive shifting during the Dimensional Change Card Sort Task (DCCS) task with functional near-infrared spectroscopy. Altogether 49 children completed the DCCS tasks, and 25 children (Mage = 68.66, SD = 5.3) passing all items were classified into the Switch group. Twenty children (Mage = 62.05, SD = 8.13) committing more than one perseverative errors were grouped into the Perseverate group. The Switch group had Brodmann Area (BA) 9 and 10 activated in the pre-switch period and BA 6, 9, 10, 40, and 44 in the post-switch period. A Widrow–Hoff Learning Rule for a Generalization of the Linear Auto-associator

Abstract A generalization of the linear auto-associator that allows for differential importance and nonindependence of both the stimuli and the units has been described previously by Abdi (1988). This model was shown to implement the general linear model of multivariate statistics. In this note, a proof is given that the Widrow–Hoff learning rule can be similarly generalized and that the weight matrix will converge to a generalized pseudo-inverse when the learning parameter is properly chosen. Inventory record inaccuracy in supply chains: the role of workers' behavior

Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to explore the effect of inventory record inaccuracy due to behavioral aspects of workers on the order and inventory variance amplification. Design/methodology/approach – The authors adopt a continuous-time analytical approach to describe the effect of inbound throughput on the inventory and order variance amplification due to the workload pressure and arousal of workers. The Norm-P Estimation of Location, Scale and Simple Linear Regression Parameters

A new formulation of the exponential power distributions is used as general error model to describe long-tailed and short -tailed distributed errors. The proposed estimators of the location, scale and structure parameters of this general model and of the simple linear regression parameters when the response variable is affected by errors coming from the previous model should be used instead of robust estimators and against the practice of rejecting outlying observations. Two Monte Carlo simulations prove the good properties of these norm-p estimators.
